    Hi,
we have the premium version of the plugin installed on different customer sites.
We have updated the basic plugin to version 4.1.7, but if we try to update the premium version we receve the following generic message: “Update failed: the update of the plugin failed.”
If we leave version 4.1.7 of the basic plugin and version 2.7.0 of the premium plugin the acceptance of the scroll cookies does not work.
Therefore we have now left version 4.1.5 (basic plugin) and 2.7.0 (premium plugin add-on), that it’s works.

What could be the reason why the premium plugin is not updated?
Could we update both with the next versions?

    Thanks for your attention
    Regards

    Hi Massimiliano Nanì,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

The latest version are v4.1.7 for the base plugin and 2.7.3 for the premium add-on. If your licence key is activated, you can get the latest version for the add-on too, if the first try gives you “Update failed: the update of the plugin failed.” please try again after a few seconds and should work. The issue is coming from the WordPress plugin transient, the update URL stored by WordPress is not valid when you click first time to “update plugin” it fails and in the background, it updates the transient so next time will work.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    thanks for the quick response.
We have tried several times to update the Premim version of the plugin but continue to give the same message without updating.
    Our license key is active.
Where can we download the package updated to version 2.7.3 of the “GDPR Cookie Compliance – Premium Add-On” plugin so that we can install it following the manual procedure?

    Thanks for your attention
    Regards

    Hi Massimiliano Nanì,

Could you please try the steps below:

    1. Login as administrator, navigate to GDPR Cookie Compliance -> Licence manager and deactivate your licence key
    2. Go to “Plugins” in your admin area and remove the GDPR Cookie Compliance Premium Add-on plugin
    3. Navigate back to GDPR Cookie Compliance -> Licence manager and activate your licence key again. You will get the latest premium add-on by this.

By this, you will get the latest premium add-on. After this, the updates should work on your site properly.

Please let us know if it’s working.

Followed the steps above, it doesn’t automatically add the premium plugin.

Why can’t you just keep it simple and either have all the code in one plugin (with functions enabled/disabled by license key) or provide a download link?

Please provide a download link for now.
