I’m having an issue with my license. I use a dev environment where all plugin updates are made and then pushed to the live site. I don’t like deactivating the license on the live site to temporarily use it on the dev site to update the plugin.

I noticed in my Moove account settings under Licenses it says, “Activations Dev / Staging: 0 / 2.” Is there a way to activate the license in both environments?

    Hi Christopher Dudley,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Your licence key should be activated on both sites (live & dev sites too). The licence key you purchased allows you 1 activation on live site and 2 activations on staging / dev environments.

These are the steps you can follow:
    1. Activate the licence key on live site
    2. Activate the licence key on your dev site
    3. You can keep the plugin source code up to date on your dev site & push to updates to the live site.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, that would make sense, but it’s not working. I get this on the live site:

    License key: M0U4SV….
Your licence is successfully activated on 1 out of 1 sites.
    Licence expires: 09 January 2021

And this on the dev site:

    License key: M0U4SV….
This licence is invalid. The licence key is already in use on 1 site out of 1 sites.

Also, as a minor side note, the work “license” is misspelled in the above “invalid” notice.

    Hi Christopher,

Could you please let us know the dev site URL?

Our Licence manager has a pattern to detect if it’s dev / staging and it seems your dev URL recognised as live URL.

    Thanks

    Hi Christopher,

We found your dev URL in the deactivation log, now the activation should be recognised as staging / dev on dev-###er.p###te.io domain.

    Hope this helps.

Well… it accepted the license key but the plugin updates fail with no error report.

You have the latest add-on installed, 1.5.0
Our test environments doesn’t shows and update notice for these plugins. Could you please provide us more details about the updates issue on you site?

    Thanks
