I have used you gdpr plugin for a month or so.
It was working ok, had some site issues and went from http to https.
Now i find that your gdpr plugin doesnt work right.
it does display the banner with accept button, but the 3rd party footer code for google analytics is never added to the site.
its a wordpress blog.
Even after you press accept and reload the website the GA code is not in the compiled source code. I was told that if you set the 3rd party acceptance to enabled by default then your plugin will add the GA code into the footer. But it doesnt.
I have deleted the plugin and then reinstalled it but it still doesnt work. I noticed that even after you deactivate AND delete your plugin it still leaves your table “wp_gdpr_cc….” in my wp database, should that not be deleted too?
So for now i have to use a third party insert header code to add the GA code, which tbh is not ideal.Moove AgencyJanuary 28, 2020 @ 9:00 am
Thanks for using our plugins.
We can’t replicate the reported issue in our end, the footer scripts are properly injected to the site. The wp_gdpr_cc options are not removed when you deactivate the plugin, this is a separate table, not connected to any other WordPress features, so you can deactivate the plugin and keep this option table if it’s needed in the future.
Please update the plugin to the latest version, and check the footer scripts again. If you still have issues, please let us know the site URL and we can check the issues. Sometimes, if you have console errors caused by other plugins / scripts could break the footer script on your site.
Hope this helps.AuthorPostsViewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total)
